MY now 16yo has been diagnosed since he was 4. When we were on a trip down south to the snow one year (he was 2) he did nothing but constantly cough, just a cough, nothing to set off any alarms to me. I mentioned this to a doc a couple of years later and he said asthma. His is brought on by cold weather changes and hayfever can bring it on also. He as is my other son is allergic to grass seeds (when mowing the yard) pollens, chlorine in pools and cat hair set them off on this, I know it sounds weird but it's also related to eczema and other things, odd how our bodies react. It's also hereditary.

DeBora Cameron is more like your case. He's not in winter but more the coming into and going out of winter and the cool weather changes set him off, no wheeze either.

He used to have flixotide a preventative (steroid based, and a lot of rules for use) then his ventolin, now ventolin is enough
