Karen I live 1 hour northwest of Phildalephia. Near Allentown. Right now the Muskitfest is going on in Bethlehem. It is a festival of music, all kinds.
www.muskitfest.org. In the area you can visit the Crayola Factory, Dorney Park. The end of August will be the Allentown Fair. We always love to walk around and see the animals and displays. If you like baseball you could see a Iron Pigs or a Reading Philllies Game or go to the city and see the Phila. Phillies themselves.
Other places to see would be Crystal Cave, Lost River Caverns, National Canal Museum. Now we have a Casino in Bethlehem. Haven't been to the casino yet. But I have been to all the other places I listed.
Food must try the PA Dutch Cooking at all our local diners. You can't be in Pa with out trying a Philly cheese steak or Philly soft pretzel.
