Scarecrow Sugar Cookies

These scarecrows are a little nutty - they're cut
from an acorn cookie cutter. Whip up a batch of
these sugar cookies to keep the kids busy after
Thanksgiving dinner while the adults enjoy
a few minutes to relax.
What You Need
1 roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough or your favorite homemade sugar cookie recipe
1 large acorn cookie cutter
powdered sugar icing - recipe below
brown, orange and yellow paste food coloring
candy for decorating including candy corn, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, gummi worms ..etc.

Getting Ready
Gather ingredients for the cookies according to directions.
Make sure that children use pot holders and have some handy wipes or a sink nearby to wash hands.
