Foam Bug Magnet
Designed by Amanda Formaro
This cute little bug is far from creepy! It's not only adorable, it's easy and inexpensive to make. All you need is some craft foam, glue and a magnet!
You will need
black oval shaped foamie
6 small foamie circles, in assorted colors
2 medium white foamie circles
1 white foamie rectangle, cut into 6-8 thin strips
White craft glue
scissors
small magnet
black pen or Sharpie marker
If you make this project we'd love to see it! Just send your photos and comments to the editor and it may get published on our Facebook fan page!
What you do
Glue the medium white circles on for the eyes at one end of the oval (head). Use a black pen or Sharpie marker to color in black circles for the eyes. Alternatively, you can use wiggle eyes in place of the foamies circles, or use smaller black foamie circles instead of coloring them with the pen.
Glue the small colorful circles onto the bugs back, no particular pattern is necessary.
Once those are dry, turn the bug over and glue the legs on so that they stick out the sides. our little artist insisted on having 7 legs rather than 6 or 8. How could we refuse, after all, it was his project!
Glue a magnet to the center of the bug. When dry, flip back over and hang on the fridge!
