A Chronically Stuffy Nose May be a Sign of Allergies- When my daughter gets a common cold, she also gets a stuffy nose that seems to lasts for a long time. It usually turns into a sinus infection or something requiring antibiotics. Isn't there something that she can take that will curb the stuffiness and help clear things up?
Bedwetting Is Common And Usually Normal In Pre-School Age Children- We have a four-year-old daughter who has been toilet trained since she was two. Recently, she started wetting the bed at night, but has no problems during the day. We do not suspect any problem at pre-school since she really seems to love it. Any idea of what should we do?
Chicken Pox Vaccination or Not?- My family physician has suggested that we have our 18-month-old daughter vaccinated with the chicken pox vaccine. Is there enough information out there to support this recommendation?
Cow's Milk During The First Year- My son is 6 1/2 months old and had his first ear infection at 6 months.
We were just to the doctor for a check up to make sure the infection is
gone. The doctor (whom we trust dearly) mentioned the reason my son had
gotten an ear infection so early was from bottle feedings. The doctor
wants to start weaning my son from his bottle at nine months.
Growth Curves Offer Very Important Information- I have a 12 month old daughter who seems to be very healthy
and well. I am wondering why it is important to see a doctor
for check ups even when most of the time all the doctor does
is weigh and measure my daughter and quickly examines her
only to tell me that all is normal?
My Child is Always Sick- My four year old son seems to be sick all the time. We are constantly at the doctor's office getting antibiotics for his infections. I am worried and wonder how can I tell if my son's proneness to upper respiratory infections is a symptom of an underlying problem?
Nightmares & Night Terrors in Children- One of the most common concerns of parents is sleep disturbances, including nightmares and night terrors. Nightmares occur quite commonly in young children.
