What you do

Happy Turkey

Inflate a balloon for each child present. Attach a ribbon and tie it to a chair or table leg. Have the children draw and cut out feathers using construction paper. Tape or glue them to the top of the balloon. Cut out a peanut shaped from brown construction paper. Using a small triangular orange scrap of paper for the beak and draw on two eyes with black marker. Glue or tape it to the front of the balloon.

Roasted Turkey

Ever notice how an inflated balloon is kind of shaped like a roasted turkey? Try this simple, humorous spin on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey decoration. Draw two drumsticks on a piece of red or brown construction paper. From white construction paper, cut out the end of the leg (see photo) and glue to brown leg. Inflate an orange or brown balloon and tape a drumstick to each side.
