Easy Visors & Shades
February 12th, 2013 posted by Amanda Formaro
Sun protection is very important, every parent knows that. While kids don’t worry about such things, they will have a blast making their very own sun protection with these fun sunglasses and visors.
You will need
Foam visors and sunglasses
Foam alphabet stickers
Foam stickers in other shapes (flowers, stars, animals, etc)
Glitter glue (optional)
Note: If not using foam stickers you can still use foam shapes and white craft glue.
If you make this project
What you do
Choose fun stickers to coordinate with visors and sunglasses. Lay out stickers on surface before removing adhesive backing. Once you have them positioned where you want them, remove the backing and stick in place. If you want to decorate with glitter glue, be careful not to use too much as fat glue lines can run. You will need adequate drying time for glitter glue (several hours) and will not be able to wear your hat or glasses right away. Other materials can be used to decorate these items, such as craft jewels, buttons, feathers and sequins. Adequate drying time is necessary for any item that is glued on. Put on your personalized hats and glasses!
Important Safety Note:
Please use caution when personalizing children’s wearable items. Putting their name on items such as these announces their name to anyone who sees it. If you do personalize items, be sure they are only worn in the presence of a trusted adult or among family and friends.
