Children have more problems behaving when they are tired or hungry. Here's what you can do to make sure your child is well-fed and well-rested:-- Have a set routine you follow every day. Young children feel much more secure and behave better when they know what to expect. -- Make nap time the same time every day. -- Provide meals the same time each day and healthy snacks such as fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread and milk. -- A predictable schedule will insure your child doesn't get too tired or too hungry, which can trigger a "meltdown" in even the most relaxed of children. |
