Valentine Basket
by Stephanie Burgett
This craft can be adapted to fit any holiday. Keep old envelopes, cards, and plenty of construction paper and craft sticks around. Kids can be very creative when they have the supplies and mom and dad to help.
You will need:
Used envelopes (one per basket)
doilies
crepe paper or construction paper
white craft glue
candy hearts (optional)
baskets from thrift store or follow directions below to make your own
Directions:
1. Draw a heart in the corner of the envelope. Cut out the heart.
2. Make a construction paper handle and glue or staple it to the top of the heart.
3. Decorate the basket with doilies, crepe paper or construction paper hearts.
4. Fill with candy hearts or paper flowers.
Many hours of family fun can be had with this project. Baskets/gift baskets are always a favorite with anyone. You could always fill in with small gift items between the paper hearts and candy! This is a project that you can adapt to your own personal taste. I am always altering projects to fit what I have on hand and what is easiest for the kiddies too!
